The San Francisco 49ers were the talk of the league and had not lost a game in over two weeks since their demolition of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night football.
After the Niners' locker room suffered a dismal 22-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night,
it may have been two years ago. The 49ers' Monday night missteps included three turnovers,
a 60-yard touchdown by Minnesota on retrenchment just before halftime, and arguably their missed 40-year field goal.
Their second consecutive loss was a surprise to everyone, as they felt like an overwhelming crash after delivering 5-0 from the first half.
