Jenna Ellis – Ex-Trump Attorney – Admits Guilt in Unique Georgia Election Interference Case
breaking news former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis is taking a plea deal in the Georgia election interference case. She’s the fourth of Trump’s co-defendants in the case to reach an agreement to plead guilty.
it’s significant because it is the fourth defendant to reach a plea deal and the plea deal requires a degree of cooperation with prosecutors in Georgia. And she is an attorney who wrote memos for Trump that outlined how former Vice President Mike Pence could have maybe stopped the certification of the election.
So it’s not known exactly what she will testify to.
But her plea deal does include a requirement that she testify truthfully, she will also serve probation, pay a $5,000 fine in a criminal case that names former President Trump and 19 others, Jenna Ellis, who represented him right after he lost in 2020.
She has become the fourth defendant in that case,
to now plead guilty admit to her role in the sprawling racketeering conspiracy and agree to testify against Trump and the remaining defendants now 15 of them who were scheduled to go on trial at a later time at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta. Jenna Ellis is significant for two reasons. She stood with Rudy Giuliani and others as they espoused falsehoods about ballot fraud in Georgia that did not exist.
She wrote memos for Trump prosecutors that outlined a theory of how then Vice President Mike Pence could somehow up into the certification of Joe Biden’s victory. We’re not sure what Jenna Ellis is going to be asked to testify to. But those are two aspects of the alleged conspiracy that she was involved in and has now admitted as much by pleading guilty.
