In Aruba, the strong Aly Raisman traded her leotards for beautiful swimsuits.
We think Aly Raisman is best known for her work as a professional gymnast, which included two trips to the Olympics and three gold medals in 2012 and 2016. But she’s also been a model for SI Swimsuit three times. Even though we love all of those other things about her, which are truly amazing, we also loved how she agreed to be in the annual issue in both 2017 and 2018.
After her first appearance in Houston in 2017, the athlete went back to the magazine the next year, and this time went somewhere warm. Along with photographer James Macari, she went to Aruba to get some really powerful pictures of herself in a variety of sleek black outfits.
It was a huge pleasure for her to be able to shoot SI Swim, she said. “I’ve always wanted to do that.”
She made the most of the chance, both in Texas and on the beaches of Aruba. Everyone knows that the 29-year-old is very strong and powerful, and that’s exactly what she showed on the beautiful island. The dancer really impressed us. There was a picture of her standing on the rocks in front of the beach in a metallic top that looked like it was made for Wonder Woman, and there were also pictures of her showing off her strength and flexibility.
