Selena Gomez is the modern day triple threat. She’s an international pop star, an Emmy-nominated actor, and an Emmy-nominated actor and beauty entrepreneur. But she’s not likely to close the door to her singing career.
I do feel like I have one more album in me,
Selena Gomez declared on Monday’s episode of “Smartless” podcast.
“The older I get the more I’m kind of like, I would like to find something to just settle on,” she added and added that her work acting is the one she would like to concentrate on.
At a young age, Selena Gomez declared that she had a goal to be “a serious actress.” Her career in music began due to the fact that Disney invited her to record an album when she was in “the” Disney Channel comedy “Wizards of Waverly Place” in the latter half of 2000.
“I thought it would be fun and I thought more than anything it would be a hobby that I really enjoyed,” she explained. “I was always hoping to become an actor. I had no intention of singing full-time, but it seems that my passion for singing transformed into something completely different.
Selena Gomez is the author of three albums in 2013 with songs that include “Come & Get It,” “Same Old Love” and “Lose You to Love Me.” She was awarded the first of two Grammy nominations for the best Latin music album of 2022, for her Spanish-language album “Revelacion.” Late last year, she dropped her newest single “Single Soon.”
A teen idol from the early years due to “Wizards,” Selena Gomez also is currently a part of the critically highly acclaimed Hulu program “Only Murders in the Building” together with Martin Short and Steve Martin as well as appearing in numerous films such as “Spring Breakers” and “A Rainy Day in New York.
The balancing act of her acting and music careers has had a negative impact on Selena Gomez she revealed in the podcast’s Monday episode in part because of her mental health problems which she talked about openly in her docu-series set for 2022 Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.
Although she admitted there’s no law that would force her to pick between acting and music in any way, she acknowledged the possibility of a decision in the near future.
I’m going to want to chill because I’m tired, she told me.
Alongside her interests in acting and music, Selena Gomez founded her cosmetics company Rare Beauty in 2020. This was a company she referred to as “the biggest gift” on the podcast.
