Dave Bautista has nothing but love for his Dune: Part 2 co-star Josh Brolin. The Army of the Dead actor and former wrestler spoke candidly about working with the star-studded cast during the New York premiere of the sci-fi epic.

Appearing at the premiere, Bautista reflected on the intimidating experience of acting alongside cinema legends. “It’s intimidating, looking over and seeing Stellan Skarsgård and looking down and seeing Christopher Walken, and seeing Timmy [Chalamet] and Zendaya and Austin [Butler] and Florence [Pugh] and Josh Brolin,” he told People Magazine.

But Bautista reserved his biggest praise for Brolin, admitting, “I have a man crush, a huge man crush on Josh Brolin. I love him as a performer, as a human being.”

Bautista and Brolin first met during their Marvel days, when Bautista played Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy and Brolin portrayed the villain Thanos. Reminiscing about that time, Bautista said, “I’ve known Josh for years and we got, I think, close during our conversations, very intimate conversations during our Marvel years.”

Clearly, the two actors formed a lasting bond working together in the MCU. Now, teaming up again for the highly anticipated Dune sequel, their bromance is still going strong.

Bautista’s comments show his deep respect for Brolin’s talent and character. While Bautista has established himself on screen since his wrestling days, he still finds inspiration in veteran actors like Brolin.

Dune: Part 2 sees Bautista join the sci-fi universe as the villainous Glossu Rabban. Meanwhile, Brolin reprises his role as Gurney Halleck from the previous Dune film. With Denis Villeneuve back in the director’s chair, expectations are high for this star-studded sequel.

Bautista’s candid remarks prove he’s still in awe of his accomplished co-stars, Brolin in particular. Their friendship shows the camaraderie that can develop between actors over years of shared movie experiences. For Bautista, getting to collaborate again with Brolin seems to be a dream come true.
